strawberry planter (Stratton Strawless NR10)

I would love to grow some successful strawberries but planting in the ground is a waste of time as the slug army arrive & munch the fruit before I get a chance! I thought perhaps a strawberry planter might help to lift them up out of the way. If anyone has one not being used I'd love to try out my idea. Thankyou
