110v transformer (Harley SY5)

Hi. I have just been given a Dewalt 110v drill in a case by my brother in law, who works as taxi driver. It was given to him by a customer who said he had no money to pay the fare. I really would love to see if this drill works. Does anyone have a 110v transformer they no longer need. Shrewsbury or Telford area preferred.
