The Yorkley Mend and Repair Cafe is on every second Saturday of the month and this November on Saturday 11th from 11.30 am to 1 pm. PLEASE NOTE THE NEW START TIME! We are a volunteer group aiming to extend the life of people’s possessions and reduce the amount of material going to landfills or incineration. We can mend and repair almost anything – clothing and other textiles, household appliances, tools, electronics, and much more. To ensure a suitable repairer and tools are on hand anyone who wishes to bring an item along is encouraged to contact us in advance on the Facebook page (Yorkley Mend and Repair Cafe) or email ymrcrepairs@gmail.com. Repairs are free but donations are welcome – some charges if parts are replaced.
The popularity is growing and we are keen to invite more volunteers who would like to be repairers or menders. You don’t need to be an “expert” just someone with some useful skills.
