Panasonic dvd recorder, DVD reader NOT WORKING (Budleigh Salterton EX9)

Panasonic viera link dmr ex86 recorder, it has quite a few films recorded on it obvs can all be erased, The DVD player does not work, could be used for spares, no remote.
