donations for FREE SHOP (The Level BN1)

Hi everyone,
If you are popping into Brighton during the year you might be interested in the FREE SHOP.

The Famous Freegle Free Shop is open 10am to 4pm Every Thursday, Friday and Every Saturday!
At Planet Brighton, Unit 1 at The Open Market BN1 4JU - that's at the London Road end next to the Little Loaf bakery.

In 2023 we received 20 tonnes of donations and gave away things with a value of £50,000+ and over 33.000 people came to the Free Shop...it's very popular!!

The FREE SHOP allows you to bring in unwanted stuff and/or take away new-to-you things for free.
Helps everyone to save you money.
Keeps stuff out of the bin.
Perfect if you need a declutter - just drop and go!

We don’t have lots of ‘charity shop’ rules just:
NO big things (so NO furniture! use the Freegle app for big stuff :-)
NO drugs.
NO guns.
No animals.

Everything else is ok to BRING in!

Bring in things like: stationery, cables, office bits and bobs, kitchen stuff, clothes, bric-a-brac, FOOD, cleaning stuff, bubble wrap, cardboard moving boxes, books, CDs, DVDs, toys, tools, random gizmos, craft materials, cosmetics, jewellery, lamps, shoes, candles, sports equipment, fashion accessories, gadgets, games, coat hangers, baby things, strollers, reusable nappies, computer accessories, small electrical items, puzzles, glass GU ramekins, toiletries, frames, pet accessories, make-up, DIY bits and pieces, musical equipment, ink cartridges, bags, plants, computer accessories, PET FOOD, cushions, light bulbs, paint, school uniforms, tiles, towels... The Free Shop is very handy for those drawers full of small random things!

We have a shortage of cables, books, CDs, DVDs and kitchen stuff at the moment - so those (or anything else) would be gratefully appreciated.

WE ALSO COLLECT 4 materials on behalf of the Brighton Green Centre for REUSE and RECYCLING.
Clean Aluminium Foil, Foreign Coins, Small pieces waste metal (jar lids, keys etc) and CORKS
See the latest Brighton Green Centre recycling info https://www.thegreencentre.co.uk/media/1184/a-guide-to-recycling-in-brighto... (it is Brighton-centric info but also includes info about aome odd national recycling schemes!)

The FREE SHOP details are always here https://www.ilovefreegle.org/communityevent/161677
And of course if you are in the city you may pop in to take away things you need for free too :-)
Thank you!

PS:
PLEASE do NOT leave stuff outside the shop when we are closed. It will be put in the bin in my absence, so please don't do it.
We do NOT do collections - sorry we have no transport.
