Hen House (Project) (Cromford, DE4)

It seems a shame to throw out our little hen house which I built according to my wife's very exacting specifications. It is in need of restoration - basically will need 4 new hinges (as these have rusted), and a new section of the roof making with a fresh bit of plywood. I can probably provide that fresh bit of plywood too.

We don't have hens any more and I've been using the henhouse to store coal and logs for a few years instead but it has become weather-worn and in need of some restoration/TLC.

Features of this amazing little hen house are: an openable section of the roof (when it works) to get access to the eggs from the two laying bays in that part of the hen house. Two separate laying bays. A rustic perch, doors on the side of the house that open and a tray that pulls out to enable 'mukcing out' easily. A cute arched door on the front with a latch and a little ledge under upon which a ramp can be placed. The entire roof comes off too for easy transport & access to the entire inside of the house.

If anyone has hens and is interested, it would make a relatively easy and perhaps interesting project for someone and it would be lovely to see this go to another nice home and get a new lease of life as we travel a lot and don't have any plans to get more hens.
