When we moved we took this bed base apart and never attempted to rebuild it. The particleboard pieces have been in the attic for about a year and a half. We have a bag of screws and the instructions if you would like to try to put it back together, or you are welcome to have the pieces for a new project. The outside is a dark brown color. Please let me know what you plan to do with the pieces and a day/time when you could stop by to pick these up.
