This came on top of a solid metal desk, so I think it's not designed to be used as a standalone tabletop. However, it's proven sturdier than I expected, so if you built a simple 2x4 frame to go under it around the edges it should be fine. Would be a fine table for kiddos to build Legos on, or crafts. :-)
A little cosmetic damage, mostly on the one long side (photo). A scratch on the top (photo). Still a nice smooth writing surface.
