Ornamental grass - this is either miscanthus or possibly Carex Pendula. Miscanthus self seeds which mine has. Carex Pendula likes clay and boggy ground. Mine is on free draining chalk soil in Seaford but it also grows on clay in Polegate so not sure which it is. Over time mine has grown to 3' heigh and approx 2' wide. Hardy and easy to grow. I love them but I have too many.
