Clock workings/mechanism (Dorking RH4)

I've got my old family kitchen clock, which I'd like to keep for sentimental reasons but unfortunately, despite new batteries being tried a couple of times, the clock is running slow and thus useless! Can anyone help? I'd rather not dispose of it...I'm in Dorking. Many thanks.
