Seedling Ice Plants (Morden SM4)

I decided to try and grow these plants from seed which were quite difficult to raise but nevertheless here they are. You will have to be patient. There is no point in thinking that you can just put them in the ground and off they go because you need to grow them on . Once they have grown into decent plants. If you then want to propagate them for next year all you need to do is take a branch off. Let it dry out and seal at the end and then plant it in a pot and overwinter.

Seedling ice plants which are groundcover plants and prefer a free draining stony type soil. There are obviously several plants in this container if you want to separate them you are welcome . They are quite tiny and harder to handle but even so they do take transplanting and I would put them in about the same size pot as they are in now and grow them on as individual plants . I have used pearlite but make sure that you don’t overwater them..
They are perennial plants that come up each year. Even so our winters are getting wetter, which is why I suggest on taking a cutting when they’re grown in case you lose them.
