I have a water stain in my drywall ceiling and am unsure if this indicates active water penetration or if it is simply an old stain from a prior leak. I've seen home inspectors use these devices to determine the relative humidity in drywall or other materials.
I only need it for a brief time. If you have one that you no longer need, I would gladly keep it.
