I’m looking for the kind of bird feeder stands that stick into the ground, and bird feeders that will hook/hang on them. I’d like to create “cat TV” for my cat Valentino to enjoy visual enrichment outside the window. It’s a large space, so I can do a lot. We live in the back of the house, so that window is his whole outdoor world. He’s already enjoying deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds (and who knows what else at night with his special cat vision!) — but they are random and fleeting. He needs more CATertainment. I’d like to set up a wonderful area that will keep him interested, and that will also support the backyard wildlife.
I’d also love to set up a water fountain for the wildlife — maybe a tall one for the birds and something lower to the ground for other critters. I love nature, so this would be uplifting for me along with my cat and the wildlife. I researched this and found out that it takes about a week for the wildlife to realize the cat in the window can’t get to them, and after that their presence will become more frequent.
Thank you in advance for anything you can offer — and I welcome creative ideas beyond what I’ve asked for here. The only thing is, there’s no way to hang things on the side of the house, and there’s no gate/railing/etc in front of the window. I’m a renter, so nailing into the walls or installing permanent structures is not an option. Whatever I use has to be freestanding. 🙏🏻
