Washing machine, needs repair (SE17)

Hoover washing machine, 1600 spin speed. It’s faulty - the water no longer drains properly - so we got a new one to replace it, and were planning to take the old one to the recycling centre. However, the man who installed the new one says the old one can be repaired - he says it needs just one replacement part, which is the panel shown in the second pic. So Ithought it was worth checking if anybody on Freecycle has the will and skill to tackle it, before we proceed to the recycling centre.
