I want to give my grandchildren a tablet or laptop computer on which to watch/stream videos. I do not want to get new because I heard that the local populations where cobalt is mined are being displaced and dying (in unheard numbers - I heard millions, but I have yet to confirm that number). I saw a few second-hand ones on craigslist for under $50 (that I was considering) but I am not computer-savvy so I don't trust myself to choose - especially at that price, and they looked "funky", i.e., dirty. So, if anyone can help, I am all ears.
