adult bike (San Jose)

ISO adult bike for my spouse, our car is quite literally on its last limb and we have no money to repair it. When we try driving it just continues to sputter out due to a couple issues we can repair right now. so I am in search of a bike for my husband so he can still make it to work and back since it is our only source of income please and thanks in advance! Also if anyone happens to have a bike rack for the car that way we can transport the bike as well. I know it’s a big ask so thank you for any help
