These do work and are barely used. However, they are advertised as "bone conduction" whereas, as best as I can tell, these are conventional speakers that are positioned outside the ears. That does protect the ear drums, but the sound quality is not great. The may be better for podcasts/audiobooks than for music. The ear loops have LED lights that do some funky things, but you can turn these off.
