Canon Pixma TS6250 printer/scanner/copier (Chipping Sodbury BS37)

Not working reliably - on power up, often displays error codes such as 5100, which generally cannot be cleared by any of the methods given in the manual (check for paper jam, print head impediment or ink tanks not fully seated; turn off and on). But sometimes after a long self-cleaning cycle it does work. Out of warranty so would suit someone competent to service it (cleaning all internal parts?).
