Old wood pellets for Composting (Oakham, MA)

I have a very large amount of very old wood pellets that were stored in a basement for many years. Still in the bags. They were for a wood pellet stove. I've heard they're good for composting, but I have way more than I could possibly use. Location is about 20 minutes from Tatnuck area in Worcester.
