Interactive Cat Toy Ball/Mat (Norwood)

Offering a PawsPik Hide and Seek Interactive Cat Toy, got on Chewy, who kindly refunded, yay, now passing it on.
It's new, but tried it out of course, and my kitties are afraid of it or uninterested.
Maybe some younger, bolder cats/kittens would like? My sensitive shelter cats like more quiet, guess I should have known!
Picture shows adult cat, average size, 10 lbs. on the mat. I asked him to come pose and he came over when I promised I would NOT be turning it on!
 The ball moves around, quite rambunctious in movement and sound. Flashing lights too but that wasn't the problem I don't think. This boy hid under couch, even after I introduced it slowly, showing him each part. I tried it with the ball both inside and outside the mat, but just too noisy and it would bump into him too much outside the mat.
It charged up within a half hour. The USB cord is included but not the power source, plug or whatever.
