Unlocked or Verizon Phone (Upper West Side)

Howdy neighbors! Anyone have an old smart phone they're not using anymore that would work with Verizon? The rechargeable battery in mine gave up the ghost this morning (*heavy sigh*). Don't need anything super fancy, just something that works. I'm on the UWS but can travel anywhere reasonably close (can't be gone too long due to a bed-bound parent), so somewhere in Manhattan would be best. Thanks!
