Size 2 or 1 (2.25 , 2.00 mm) Knit (Riverside South)

Hi!
Somewhat beginner Knitter here.
After starting on a mitten pattern I realized that my hands are much smaller than the author's! After a little bit of research I've concluded that I would need to switch to a US size 2 or 1 (2.25 mm and 2.00 mm) knitting needles. I unfortunately went over my knitting budget for Christmas gifts and am turning to the community to borrow or receive such needles!
Due to the small circumference of the project, I would be most comfortable using short circulars (around 23 cm , about 9 inches ) and/or DPNs.
