This was long ago. My girls grew up and left. Somehow a Barbie hat bubbled to the surface, and because of nostalgia I couldn't get myself to toss it, though I meant to. One day somebody posted that her little girl had lost her Barbie's hat and was sad about it. Within hours she'd come to pick up the Barbie hat I'd been unable to discard. I was so happy that it had found a good home!
