I run a non for profit Youth Project. One of students from a let’s say a ‘stretched’ household was struggling to get in on time due to having to take younger siblings to nursery/school. They would quite often then have to choose between eating or catching the bus to try to get in on time. When I found out this I put a wanted post on trash nothing for a bike. Within no time at all we were gifted a bike. The project paid for the repairs, new tyre etc. Since the student has had the bike they have never been late and their fitness has improved. Just goes to show that something you have kicking around your house or garden could just change someones life.
