Free: King Sized Snuggledown Duvet (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 65d - King-Sized Hollowfill Duvet from Snuggledown of Norway Medium to heavy weight (can’t remember exact tog) Reasonably well-used - slight yellowing at edges - but machine washable with capacity of 7kg or more. Free: Empty (pretty) boxes for crafting (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Expired 134d - I have at least 15 of these boxes which are used to package herbal tea. The bags are wrapped, so I take the tea bags out and put the boxes aside, so they're still in new condition. The boxes have flip top lid and some quite pretty decoration, so (with a bit of imagination) could be made into something else (eg: maybe they could be decorated for Christmas and used with tissue paper to save wrapping?!). Since I have a few, might suit a school or youth group (or someone who goes to craft events). Bit random, but they're good quality so seems a shame to just bin them! Free: Empty tubs from pills & meds (>30) (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 160d - Large selection of empty plastic tubs used to hold pills or powders (nothing dangerous!). Over 20 in total. All washed and labels removed (one or two might need sticky stuff remover from the label glue). Various sizes, some have screw lid, some flip cap. Free: Beech Laminate folding dining table (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 194d - Beech laminate dining table. Folds to double in size (flip over and rotate). Seats 3-4 folded and 6-8 unfolded. Has been well-used, but still fairly solid and functional. Note that one of the side bits of laminate has come unstuck but could probably be glued back on. As well as a table is quite useful as a desk - has been used a few times for that purpose during lockdown! Free: Round Mirror approx 20cm diameter (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 194d - Round unedged mirror, which I had been using as a mat under a vase (quite a nice effect!). Unfortunately, one part of the edge got a bit cracked when washing up (see photo). It's still very functional as a mirror, so if someone is feeling crafty, could maybe add a fancy border around the edge to hide the small crack... or could smash it up and use as mosaic tiles. Am sure there are plenty of uses if you're feeling imaginative! :-) Or maybe if you just want a mirror in the shed or inside a wardrobe door, the crack doesn't matter (it's very light so could be stuck on with glue or command strips). Free: Straw bottle cover (no bottle) (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 197d - This is one of the straw bottle covers you get wrapped round certain wines or spirits. This one was wrapped round a cachaca bottle, but sadly that broke in transit so it has been thoroughly rinsed of any glass fragments. It's basically in new condition. I'm not entirely sure what it could be used for but someone crafty might have an idea. Or maybe you could fill it with something (eg: dried beans), seal the top, then use it as a door stop... who knows?! Free: Small Osprey Rucksack (well used) (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 197d - Much-loved and well-used Osprey rucksack, designed for children or petite women (suited me fine!). One large inner compartment, with a front zip pocket, a front stuff pocket and two size water-bottle style pockets. Also has chest and waist straps. Has been washed recently. Other than being a little worn, there's nothing functionally wrong with it (I was given a replacement as a gift). Free: Infants Ice Lolly Moulds (Union Street, Southwark SE1) Gifted 197d - Set of 4 interlocking ice-lolly moulds (can be snapped together or separated). Note that these pretty tiny so really only suitable for small children and infants (or someone with a really small sweet tooth). They are intended for small children, so should be safe in that use (but double check if concerned).
