Free: 205/40 ZR17 M+S UHP tire still good (Charlottesville near chs) High performance, low profile tire with about 5.5mm (7/32") tread left, never had a flat or been damaged. This was mounted on 7.5 inch wide rims (rim a bit too wide for the tire). It should fit rims as narrow as 6.5 inches. I upgraded the tires on my car to a different size, so this will no longer serve as a e.g. a spare for me. But maybe it will be helpful to you! I also have a second tire, same size - the second tire is closer to worn out - come get both!

Request: a volleyball (Charlottesville near chs) My son and I have been getting into practicing volleyball. But all we have a socker ball, and that's too heavy... hurts the hands. DOes anyone have a volleyball that needs a new home?
Free: 12 cubic ft. packing materials (Charlottesville near chs) Gifted I've got 12 cubic feet of bubble wrap, some foamies (in plastic bags, not loose), "crumple" paper. All very clean, no dust, ready to go in two large boxes as shown in the picture. Each box is about 1x2x3ft. or maybe slightly larger. The crumple paper is folded mostly flat, so once you crumple it again, you'll have quite a bit more than 12 cu. ft. of packing materials I've also got a bag with about 2 cu. ft. of polystyrene pieces. Does that go in landfill? Is there any place to recycle that? Does anyone here want it? It would be good for shock absorption in larger packages. You could break it up to suit your need. ******************************NOTE: Please don't be offended, but I ignore replies that look like they were generated by automatic internet robots ("bots"). I've been getting lots of those lately. I have no idea if all those robot-like replies are from bots. Maybe they are just from real people who are too tired to type more than four words? What does an automated robot reply look like to me? They don't mention any interest in, or name the actual item. They don't mention any other concern related to the actual item. They don't mention what your location is, or when you might pick up. They don’t mention the current weather, or what might be your favorite book. Bots reply like this: "do you still have" (Incomplete sentence! No punctuation!) Real people reply like this: "Hi my name is Marty. I have an interest in knitting, so I could really use the extra yarn you're giving away. I live quite close to you north of Charlottesville, and I could pick up any weekday evening. My favorite book is His Master’s Voice, by Stanislaw Lem. Many thanks for considering my inquiry." Think: I'm making the effort to post (with pictures!) on this free-cycle bulleting board. Then I make the effort to correspond with the recipient and make arrangements for pickup. I do all this, though by far the easiest thing is to just throw the thing out. If you like the idea of me not throwing it out, instead giving it to you, then honor my effort by replying with several complete sentences describing your situation and interest. Additionally, a reply like that suggests to me that you might be reliable enough to actually pull through with a pickup, so these are the types of replies that I'm going to pay attention to. (And if you are new to the English language, and you're not very good at it, that’s okay; you can still write something that isn’t going to look like it was generated by a robot). Thank you, and looking forward to your creative human-like message!!

I can use any old remnants of candles that you have, or/also called "gulf wax." Don't throw out your old candles! I'll be glad to take them. I got a tip about churches... does your church still use real candles? I don't know of any... Thanks.

Request: old cloth diapers (Charlottesville near chs) Expired I have a use for old cotton diapers, and would be glad to receive some... however I would not like to receive them soiled, if you get my meaning! thanks.
Request: laptop running Windows 7 (Charlottesville near chs) Expired I need any old laptop with windows 7 operating system running on it. Battery doesn't need to be any good, so long as I can run it plugged in. Need it to run some automotive diagnostic software, and needs to have at least one good USB port for data.
Free: faucet, works okay, slow drip (Charlottesville near chs) Expired This is a three hole faucet, holes are 4" on center, with a sprayer you could put into a fourth hole in your sink. Faucet has a slow drip on the hot side... could have fixed it, but decided to get a nicer faucet instead. I'll either keep it as a spare, or you can have it! ******************************NOTE: Please don't be offended, but I ignore replies that look like they were generated by automatic internet robots ("bots"). Free: dishwasher - easy fix (Charlottesville near chs) Expired Because I was under time constraint, I could not repair this dishwasher, instead had to buy a new one (for a rental house). Now I have no further need for it... But I believe the fix for this dishwasher is easy - it needs just a drain pump. The last time it was used, it failed to drain all the water out. The pump costs about $80 online, or $90 if you get it from e.g. Davis Appliance (Ronnie looked it up for me). It is trivially easy to install (see pictures of the pump). The washer is otherwise in good condition, as you can see from pictures. Of course I can't make any guarantees about the fix or how long this washer will last, but for under $100 you could have a washer that ordinarily costs more like $300 or $400. Please reply this week, after 8/28 I have to get rid of it. Let's keep it out of the landfill!

Free: Tiny Chess set - quartzite pieces? (Charlottesville near chs) Gifted This is a pretty little Chess set that we have found difficult to play with - our fingers too big, pieces too small. It's not exactly a travel chess set, but not full size either. The board is about 10x10". Maybe you have small hands? Maybe you like to collect unusual chess sets? I'm sure you're out there somewhere.
