60w Goodmans Sound Bar (CT14)
Hi All On offer is the above sound bar. The remote and power supply are missing, but you can control it with buttons on the side. It's inputs are Phono, Bluetooth or Optical and you can switch between these with the buttons on the side. I don't have an optical cable for it, but they are pretty cheap on eBay and will work if your TV has an optical output. As it's Bluetooth, you can use it with your mobile or any device that has Bluetooth. For the power supply, it's 20v, 3A. Most laptop power supplies are 19v which would be fine, you just need to exchange the plug or get one from eBay.

Hi All Here are some filter books, some from Lee Filters and some from Rosco. They are lighting filters, but I've used some for photography in the past to cast a colour over my pic. I've read posts from others that used them to go over the flash on their camera to produce a particular effect. If you're into this kind of thing, all the shades have names and numbers and you can see the transmission graph for a filter on the manufacturer's web site. Cold Laminator (CT14)
Withdrawn
On offer is the above. You buy self-adhesive clear pockets, insert a page in and run it through this device, clamping the page inside the laminate sheets. The rollers are quite wide, so ideal for posters! ** UPDATE ** ========= I said previously it was jammed, but took the end plates off and remove a screw that had fallen inside. It now turns just fine. The first pic shows a cup to roughly show the size. The platens you can see in the 1st pic fold up vertically for storage (see pic 2). The screws on the top at both ends are to adjust the pressure on the rubber rollers. To operate it, you turn the handle on the one end (pic 3) and the rollers turn and feed the sheet through. You're welcome to take a look and decide if you want it, no obligation. It's quite heavy, but I can help load if needed. Trailer Spares/Repairs (CT14)
Gifted
Hi all, On offer is my old trailer that hasn't been used for some time. With some effort, it could be restored to it's former glory. The obvious one is that the floor has rotted away. I've replaced this before with a large piece of OBS board from Hutchings, cut it to size and screwed it in. It looks mechanically sound to me, but I have a welder and can sort out any bits and bobs for you. I've no tow ball on my car, so can't bring it to you, so collection is a must. If you wanted to do some work on it here, then take it, that's fine by me. You're more than welcome to pop round and take a look, no obligation and see if it's what you want. If you're lucky, you might even get a coffee! 😁 It has a spare tyre with it that bolts on the side. If there's no interest, I'll contact some scrap merchants, cut it up and get rid of it. I used to use it a lot to collect wood for our burners at the last place. It's got all the electrics with it, but obviously these would need checking out which I can help with. Hi All Next up is a pair of headphones. The model is HD202. My wife bought these some time ago to do video conferencing, but then bought a USB pair with a microphone which she liked better. They are in good working order and have a standard 3.5mm plug on the end. If you don't have the right connector on your phone, you can always get a USB to 3.5mm cable on eBay for a couple of quid. A whole bunch of electronics (Displays/Chips) etc. (CT14)
Gifted
Hi All The clearout continues..... On offer is some electronics bits and bobs that would suit an enthusiast. In the 1st picture, you can see a couple of small sets of drawers. If you want, you can take these too. In the second picture you can see the goodies as follows: Red boards are Nokia 5110 displays mounted on a PCB for easy wiring. I was very much into PIC microcontrollers and I used to use these to proved a display. They work off 3.3v and take almost no current, so great for battery projects. Control is by a single serial connection, namely the SPI port. The green/blue displays are single line LCD and are likely to be HD4470 compatible as most are. Finally, the little blue ones I think are OLED but no idea what those are. Bottom left is a bunch of 0.1" pin connectors. Onto the top right, are a bunch of blue boards, which i think are probably USB to RS232 adaptors. Next down are little button battery holders. I reckon you could get 2 or 3 in there to make a small low power battery pack for portable equipment. Then a bunch of ULN2803A driver chips. I think I used these to drive stepper motors. Next up is some MCP23017 port expander chips. These provide extra ports from an I2C bus. And finally..... Another bunch of ULN2803A driver chips. Must have found a bulk deal.... 😂 This lot would be good for someone into electronics, or wanting to get into it. There are lots of microcontrollers around, including the Rasberry Pi, but I chose PIC chips from Microchip as you can do pretty much anything you want with those. Thanks for reading... Stepper/Geared Motors, Brackets, Fans And More... (CT14)
Gifted
Hi All On offer is a number if bits and pieces I savaged from a few printers I stripped down some time ago. You can see the bits in the pics, but here's a better list: 1) Stepper motors 2) Toothed belts 2) Geared motors (probably 1 rev/min) 3) Fans 4) All sorts of springs/brackets metal strips etc. 5) Solenoids/ Latches 6) Damping bars If you're pretty handy and can make something out of these, you're welcome to them! What comes to mind for me is a robot with all the steppers, but I'm sure you might have your own ideas 😁 You're welcome to pop round and take a look and decide, but if you want them, all need to go at once. If you take them, I'm quite happy for you to give some away to someone else if they can use them. They are all in storage boxes and you're welcome to the boxes too. I used one of the steppers to motorise my microscope to photograph insects. Worked just dandy! If you're into electronics, I used a PIC chip to control it and a stepper motor driver board to supply the signals for the stepper. If you go down that route, I can let you have info on how it was done. As a bit of a hoarder, it would break my heart to take them down the tip. Two Small TVs (CT14)
Gifted
Hi All. On offer are a couple of TVs. We've had these on the wall in the bedrooms, but have now replaced them. The first is 18.5” screen and has 2 HDMI ports, a USB port and a number of phono (composite) ports. The screens look fine to me, but take a look at the pics. They both have no stand, but come with with the wall mounting brackets and screws. They both have the remotes too. There are some small splashes of paint one one, but I'm sure this will come off with a fingernail. The second is 23” and has 1 HDMI port, 1 USB port, the usual composite ones, a VGA/PC output and a SCART. The screen on TV2 has a picture of the Grinch and you can see some colour cross-hatching on his face, but I couldn't see this with the naked eye. I think it's an interaction between the screen and camera. Both have a DVD slot, but I haven't tested these. The pictures show the screen of the TV working and the sticker on the back so you can search for the model number if you're interested. These are not smart TVs, but pop an Amazon Firestick in the HDMI port and Bob's yer uncle. You can get most apps for the Firestick including iPlayer, ITVX, CH4, Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and so on. You're welcome to pop round and take a look to see if you want them without obligation, you're also welcome to take one or both. Axe or Axe Head (CT14)
Received
Hi All I popped up a request for a log splitter, but think I might make my own. If anyone has an old axe or axe head they no longer need, I'd be very grateful for it, then I can weld something up. Old Laptop computer (CT14)
Received
Hi All My daughter is at uni and her laptop has died. The repair guy said the motherboard is dead and therefore so is the laptop. If anyone has an old laptop they no longer use, she'd be very grateful for it. It doesn't matter if it doesn't work as hopefully I can fix it. It also doesn't matter if it doesn't have Windows, or the disk is corrupt as I can buy a new copy of windows and install it no problem. I can collect pretty much any time and always turn up when I say I will, so no messing around. Thanks for reading....
