Computer Mouse (Ash EX20)
A blast from the past. Trust two-button mouse with PS/2 connection (not USB), software floppy disk (shows you how old it is) and a small book of words.

Used to be every office had at least one. This is old and still in good working condition but no longer necessary for us.

Canon BF-10 Film Camera (Ash EX20)
Simple, basic point-and-shoot pocket camera. Note that this a 35mm film camera, NOT digital. Will require a battery (probably AAA) but comes with a case and instructions.

Sky Box Remote (Ash EX20)
Left over when our Sky+HD box died. Probably not useable for a Sky Q box (I haven't tried) but good for anything before that.

Logitech Webcam (Ash EX20)
New (as in not used), box still sealed. Dates from 2000s or thereabouts so it won't be as hi-red as modern ones but could still be used maybe as a security camera.

Formac HDD Enclosure With Hard Drive (Ash EX20)
Old but still in good working order. Connection is by FireWire 400 cable so for anything but an old Mac you may need to get creative. There's a 160Gb (I think) HDD installed which is IDE type, not SATA. I think there's a software CD somewhere so I'll include that if I find it.

Film Splicer (Ash EX20)
Agfa film splicer for 8mm or 16mm movie film. Quite possibly more of a curiosity than something anyone might use nowadays but somebody out there may have a load of home movies in need of editing.

Kensington Computer Keyboard (Ash EX20)
Working order, nice comfortable action. Connection is USB A but I can add a USB to PS/2 converter if required.

Vintage Computer Keyboard. (Ash EX20)
In working order and probably dating from around 1997. Connection is by PS/2 plug so check that it's going to fit your computer first...

Box Of Assorted Hard Drives (Ash EX20)
All still work even though the big one is probably 35 years old! All are IDE and mostly around 40Gb although I remember that one is 6.4Gb. The big one (5.25 in) is megabytes rather than gigabytes and the 2.5in laptop drive is 40Gb.

Box Of Assorted Cables (Ash EX20)
A quantity of old cables (some qualify for 'vintage'). USB A to B, some USB A to proprietary terminals, some FireWire 400 (IEE1394), a number of Ethernet and maybe a couple of modem cables. There also appears to be a Mac-specific monitor cable along with parallel/serial cables, stuff like that.

Dead MacBook (Ash EX20)

Description is more about what it isn't! First, it isn't working; the original charger died and probably took the internal charging board with it. So, no charger, no battery, no HDD and no RAM and the logic board is suspect. As far as I am aware everything else is in working order so it may well be suitable for spare bits and pieces.

Pure DAB Radio (Ash EX20)

Pure Evoke 1 XT DAB radio, also functions as a timer and alarm. It comes with its power supply and manual but any other bits (if there were any) have been lost in the mists of time.

Make Your Own Perfume Kit (Ash EX20)
Expired
Made by Mélanger, Paris, this is their 'Fragrant Secrets Collection' which is, in fact, a make-your-own-perfume kit. Acquired years ago (late '90s, I think) the box has been opened but the contents are otherwise undisturbed. It includes instructions on how to go about things, written by Butterbur & Sage of Reading who, I believe, were the importers.

Hard Drive Enclosure with 20Gb HDD (Ash EX20)
Gifted
Lacie Studio Pro hard drive enclosure. It's a good few years old (documentation refers to Windows 98/ME/2000) but it still works well. Comes with the manual (on the CD), power cable and USB-A cable for connection to a computer. Please note that no current cables will fit except for USB-A so it will not attach to anything without that size of connector.

iPad (Ash EX20)
Gifted
Apple iPad 2nd Generation (aka iPad 2) 32Gb from 2011. It comes with a (scruffy but functional) case and a lurid green cover and its original box. The iPad itself is in good working order but it is if its time and it won't do things that the later/latest ones can. Unfortunately there is no charger or cable; the charger broke (so it gets charged from a computer) and the cable we have to keep to connect an ancient iPod. However, suitable new ones are available from Amazon for under a fiver (and possibly Tesco or your local filling station!). It has been reset so it is in the 'factory' state so that the new owner can set it up. Recent use (actually, not that recent) was as a reading tablet with the Kindle app—it's pretty good for that!

Sharp LL-T17A4 17 inch LCD Monitor (Ash EX20)
Gifted
Flat screen monitor. It may be old but it is still in good working order. Input is VGA only (no digital input) so it suits an older computer or as a second screen for a laptop, perhaps. Comes with the original operation manual and software CD and even has a box! Also has sound input (cable required) for the built-in speakers and headphone output. I will give it a clean up before collection.

Pair of PC speakers bought from Tesco years ago. Powered, on/off switch and volume control. Not exactly hi-fi but they are should be an improvement on built-in speakers.

Works a treat and doesn't take up too much space. Surplus to requirements here but not ready to recycle. I will clean the bits off the screen very carefully!

Roberts Play Portable DAB/FM Radio (Ash EX20)
Gifted
Belonged to my late mother-in-law and, given that it's still in its box, she didn't use it. However, she did manage to lose the manual but one of those can be obtained online. Also has its power supply which apparently doubles as a battery charger for internal rechargeable batteries (not supplied). ASctually reminds me of the portable transistor radios of my youth…
