Request: Exercise bike - electric preferred (Waldridge Park DH2) Husband (aged 83) has recently come out of hospital and doctors say he needs to exercise to get back to full strength. If you have a working exercise bike you no longer use we can give it a good home. We can collect if reasonable distance. Thanks.

Free: Double Bed Complete With Base, Mattress and Headboard (Great Lumley DH3) Gifted We’re downsizing and won’t have room for this double bed, which has been in a spare room so hardly used. The G Plan headboard, which has been in the family since the 60s/70s is teak but was updated with a few coats of paint. It’s been dismantled ready for the removal van in a couple of weeks but we’ve decided we won’t have a spare room (more use as a dining room!). There’s a drawer unit on either side, stands on one leg and topped with a glass shelf. The mattress is from IKEA. The base is in two halves with castors but no drawers. All in good condition. To be collected from Great Lumley ASAP. Thank you.

Free: Wardrobe - three doors, four drawers (Great Lumley DH3) Withdrawn We no longer need this as we are moving to a two-bed property. We’ve kept the three doors and four drawers intact but the body has been dismantled. The only piece unavailable is part 7 (the top) but I’m sure this could be replaced with something similar from a local DIY place. Kit includes hinges, drawer runners, screws, dowels etc. Internally there is a shelf in the two-door wardrobe with a hanging rail, and three shelves behind the single door. Four drawers, on metal runners, are located below. See photo of assembly instructions for sizes etc. Needs to be picked up from Great Lumley ASAP as we need the space in the garage for our packing boxes ready to move out! Many thanks. Sue A

Free: Flymo Electric hedge trimmer (Great Lumley DH3) Gifted Although this has stopped working, all it needs is someone with the right skill to get it working again. We’re moving to a property that doesn’t have a hedge so we have no more use for it, but I don’t want to throw it in a skip if someone out there is clever enough to fix it! Free: Swivel sweeper (Great Lumley DH3) Gifted This is a rechargeable sweeper for light dusting of floors. Brushes rotate on all four sides making it easy to sweep into narrow spaces. Free: Large selection of soaps (Great Lumley DH3) Gifted This might be an odd thing to offer but over the years I have collected soaps when on holiday, abroad or at home, but haven’t used them! I unpacked them simply for their scent. The tin displayed is from France, and it is now FULL of soaps. We’re downsizing soon and I found these in the back of a cupboard - as you do. Gorgeous scents, quality soaps. Either to use as they are or to blend into making your own soaps. Collection from Great Lumley. Thanks.

White opaque glass shade in perfect condition, with a wood feature above. Complete with instructions and fixing bracket to ceiling. Length from ceiling to base of glass shade is 70cm approx. Request: Suspended ceiling tiles (Great Lumley DH3) Expired After a flood in kitchen ceiling we need at least two replacement ceiling tiles. Currently we have Thermatex suspended ceiling tiles 1.2 x 600mm x 15mm deep. If you have any left from a recent job we’d be very grateful! Plain or textured, we’ll consider anything. Can collect. Free: Half of a Kingsize divan base for spares or repair (Great Lumley DH3) Expired This was a Giltedge-make kingsize divan base. This half is complete, with six castors. Could be ideal as a child’s bed, but note there is no headboard or mattress, and it is not a sprung base. The base has no drawers, and is not an ottoman type. See other advert for other half, which has been stripped of everything, and is on offer for its timber. This one, too, could be stripped down and the two frames made into something else. Just needs imagination. Please let me know when you might collect from Great Lumley, and confirm you have a suitable vehicle. Thank you.

Free: Timber from half Kingsize bed (Great Lumley DH3) Expired This is the other half of the king size bed also advertised. Due to damage, I’ve stripped this half so it is now just a frame. I’m sure the timber would be useful, or the frame as it is could be adapted into a shelving unit. It just needs imagination. Please say when you could collect from Great Lumley, and confirm you have a vehicle large enough.

Free: Kingsize divan base for spares or repair (Great Lumley DH3) Expired This is a Giltedge-make kingsize divan base. Supplied with 12 castors, two fixing clips and four headboard fixings. If it’s to be used as a bed some additional support is needed underneath along a 45cm length, where the solid base came away. If taken for its timber framework then there’s plenty to salvage. Note, there is no headboard or mattress. The base has no drawers, and is not an ottoman type. Please let me know when you might collect from Great Lumley, and confirm you have a suitable vehicle. Free: Pressure cooker - never used (Great Lumley DH3) Gifted Prestige “Hi Dome” pressure cooker advertised for friend. 5 or 6 litre capacity at a guess. manual has been mislaid but is available online. Never been used as you can see from photos. Dimensions are: With lid 24cm (9” ) high 24cm internal diameter Collection only from Great Lumley. Free: Cabin cases, holiday bags (Great Lumley DH3) Gifted One is a Marco Polo make, bottle green colour, two rollers, two zipped compartments, retractable handle. One is a Faro make, maroon and white stripes, two rollers, three zipped compartments, retractable handle. Both have been stored in garage a long time but in full working order. Could probably do with a good wash down. Collection only, from Great Lumley. Please say when you could collect.
