Free: Cordless drill (Highfield NE39) My old cordless Performance Power drill. Drill works fine but battery is not retaining charge. The Battery is old technology Ni-Cd. It is at least 12 years old. Well used!. It works if you charge it up just before use. May be suitable for occasional DIY work

Free: Cleaned glass jars for jam/pickles (Highfield NE39) Gifted Now its jam making season I have approx 35 glass jars, standard size to go. All clean and labels removed. Also some bigger pickle jars if you want them.

Free: Ink jet cartridges HP950 & 951 size (Highfield NE39) Expired 7 new inkjet cartridges HP950 and HP951 size to fit HP8620 or similar series printers. These are non-HP cartridges but compatible with the printer. There are 2 x yellow, 2 x magenta and 1 x cyan, 2x black XL. Also there is a set of 4 partly used cartridges taken from the printer (see a previous post about the dead printer) Please check that these will fit your HP printer before contacting me, thanks.

Free: HP 8620 Officejet printer for repair or spares (Highfield NE39) Expired HP 8620 Officejet professional printer. It needs to be repaired to work. Error message is "improper shutdown" plus "paper jam" . It will not move on from these. No paper jam, have cleaned it but no luck. We have had it since 2015, fantastic robust All-in-one print/scan/ copy machine. sadly I dont have the time or inclination to repair it, and I have bought a new ink-tank printer. There are also some spare non-HP ink cartridges for it HP950 and 951s.

Free: Office paper shredder Ativa - 16X (Highfield NE39) Gifted This is a large and heavy office paper shredder Ativa - 16X. Seems to work OK. Switches on, shreds, and reverses OK. I rescued it from being thrown out from an Architect's office which is closing down.

Free: Computer monitor screen Sony SDM-HS95P (Highfield NE39) Gifted Sony SDM- HS95P computer monitor screen. It has DVI-D and HD15 sockets but no HDMI socket. Switches on/powers up Ok, but I dont have a suitable PC with the right socket to test it any further. Rescued from an architects office which is closing down.

Free: Pressure Cooker (Highfield NE39) Expired This is an old Prestige Hi-Dome pressure cooker, made of aluminium dating from the 1980s. Complete with weights and an internal basket. Great for energy saving cooking of soups and stews. We have just got an induction hob and it doesn't work on that type of hob. It worked OK on gas hob. We are based in Rowlands Gill 10 miles from Newcastle, so if you can't collect please dont say you want it, thanks, let someone who can collect have it.

Free: Mantelpiece clock (Highfield NE39) Gifted "Napoleons' Hat" style mantlepiece clock. Last used in about 2010 and has been stored since. Has time, quarter hour and hour chimes and a VERY LOUD Tick. Not currently working, but a clean up of the mechanism could see it working again, hopefully. It has a key.

Free: Stained glass - various pieces (Highfield NE39) Gifted Various pieces of stained glass. Mostly from a pub skip in Morpeth having a refit in the 2000's . Have been sitting in my shed for years and at last I've plucked up the courage to pass them on! Hope someone can use them.

Free: Large piece of hardwood (oak?) (Highfield NE39) Gifted This is a piece of hardwood ( possibly oak) I was given a while ago to do something with. I still haven't done anything with it so would like it to go to a Freegler. Would make a nice coffee table. It is planed and sanded. Dimensions are 59cm x 38 cm x 4 cm. It has warped so will probably need re-machining ( see second photo)

Free: Drill - Power Performance cordless 24v (Highfield NE39) Gifted This is my old Power Performance 24v hammer drill. It has 2 x 1.3Ah nickel cadmium battery packs which do not hold their charge for more than a few hours, so need charging up before a job. So I've now got a new drill! Also the chuck slips when drilling using round drills. Works well on all hexagonal shanks such as screwdrivers. Variable speed, torque control and hammer action. Its about 12 years old.
