Free: Pretty but damaged (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Does anyone want to exhibit pretty items with the damage turned to the back? Craftsmanship too good to bin. Cups can hold keys, rings.. jugs can be little vases? .. their ability to hold liquids is still good as the damage is to the spout. Or... are you really gifted and can mend fine porcelain? There white items are German, Thomas Ivory. The floral, gilt cups are Dresden ceramics and the floral jug is English, Hammersmith & co. The saucer with one chip to the rim is Spanish.

Free: More plates (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Smallish dinner plates, soup plates, side plates.. a Freegler took some but there are more. Suit community setting. But you’re welcome to just take some, not all, and I’ll keep updating.

Free: Sheet of fleece (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Stripped off a dbl mattress 190 x 140 by about an inch thick, it’s in nice condition and I can think of several uses for it other than landfill.

Free: Collection of double glazed windows (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Gifted Various sizes, these sash and case dbl glazed windows have been outside for some considerable time now. 1800mm tall mainly but not all.

Free: Glass brass chandelier (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Gifted One of the glass cups is broken (I have it) and it’s needing a thorough wash and TLC. Takes the small candle bulbs. I have all the glass dangles that go with it.

Free: Scottish and Hebridean songs (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Gifted Arrangements for piano- Scottish songs and some Gaelic songs for singing too. Old dusty condition but perfectly legible and useable. Could be interesting to someone with Highland or Scottish background, playing the piano or just singing Scottish traditional songs.

Free: Antique silk lamp shade (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Gifted Ideally If someone can use the ‘frame’ of this lampshade and recover it, that would be the thing. It is fairly worn, gold coloured silk- can be exhibited as is if you don’t mind a shabby look. It’s about 18” W at the base. Will fit a standard tall wire lampshade holder fitting. Can deliver t as far as South Edinburgh is necessary

Free: 1970s briefcase (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Expired Solid leather briefcase used by teenage boys in 1970s. Has some scuffs and the buckle will need replaced with another or something to secure. Otherwise in pretty good aged condition.

Free: Bunk size mattress (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Gifted Old children’s mattress that’s been stored too long and got quite worn and discoloured in places. But. It’s still quite comfy for someone not too heavy- it’s sprung/ horsehair. And it doesn’t smell, so never been soiled 😀 Used also as overnight sleeping on floor. 75cmW x 190L I can help with delivery to S. Edin and Penicuik area by arrangement.

Free: Oldie but goodie Reid’s sofa (Newington EH8) Expired Sage green solid sofa- 2m30w x 1m deep. You can even sleep in it. Best used informally unless you want to have it recovered. Would suit students with an inadequate furnished let.. has fire label. Collect from 2nd floor flat in Newington area by arrangement. Can offer van delivery within reasonable distance.

Free: Extending dining table (Newington EH8) Gifted Think it’s mahogany 146cmL extending to 192cm with a central panel that slots in. 91cmW and 72cm H, it’s nice and low for dining as well as quite narrow so very economical in size whilst easily sitting 8, maybe 10. The polished surface has suffered in the last couple of years from careless staining so would need buffing- would be an easy project for the right person. One of the clips to hold the extending panel in place on one side appears to be seized. Don’t know if that could be freed up? Free to go and uplift from Newington flat, 2nd floor. Could maybe offer local van delivery next week.

Free: Cream leather 2 seater recliner sofa (Nine Mile Burn EH26) Gifted PROMISED FOR SUNDAY 21st May.. No fire label as import from Italy. Great quality leather couch in good condition ready to be picked up from 15 mins out of town. It’s pretty heavy because of the manual recliner mechanism underneath. Lovely for naps and reclining. Reason for recycling is that we’re needing a bigger sofa bed for the family.
