Kombucha Scoby - section of. (Hassocks BN6)
Looking to divide my Kombucha Scoby. I should have divided my Kombucha 'Mother' about 12 months ago and now it has almost grown too big for the jar! I could easily get two extra ones out of this jar if anyone wants to start 'Kombuchering'. Jars available from Amazon and probably lots of more ethical places as well. Box of Electrical Bits (Hassocks BN6)
Expired
From many projects over the years, some parts are used but still useable, whilst others are new. A varied selection, but taking up space in my garage. I'll put it all in another box for collection though, as I need the blue one. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

PC Components (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
Just disassembled my old PC for an upgrade, so have several components I no longer need. Enough to make a nice Linux or windows PC with the addition of a case, cheap graphics card, some SATA cables and an SSD. I had an M.2 SSD as OS drive with a PCIE adapter. 4th Gen 4770 i7 CPU in a Gigabyte Gaming G1 motherboard - probably could do with a new button battery after about 10 year's use. This board won't run windows 11. Also included is an 850 Watt Corsair PSU, which is 15 years old, but has never missed a beat. Just be aware that it didn't have an accessory power cable that my son's new(er) gaming board needed, which is why I had it. Not sure what cable it was now, but obviously something which came in since this PSU was bought - it works fine with this board. The Thermalright CPU cooler has suffered a bit by being stored in a damp garage, resulting in some light corrosion at the tip of some fins, but would still perform perfectly well. It is the same model as the one removed from the board, and the in-situ adapter is the correct one. Would run linux or windows 10 perfectly well, and make a useful PC for internet, word processing and some light gaming etc. Will split the items if required. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

Ngaio Marsh Audio CDs (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
For those who like vintage detective stories, these audio CDs should be just the thing for long car journeys. They can be transferred easily enough to .mp3 format if required. Might be able to find another one or two as I clear out the attic. David Edwards, Hassocks. BN6 89DF.

Harry Potter Audio Cassette Collection (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
They all look complete to me, after a bit of light sorting (cassettes put back in the wrong cases - always a pain 'back in the day'). The earlier ones have been heavily listened to, but later ones only a few times. David Edwards, Hassocks. BN6 8DF

Dismantled 'Sharp' Desk Unit with Drawers (Hassocks BN6)
Withdrawn
Dismantled ‘Sharp’ built-in desk unit. It butted up against a wardrobe, but the sheet which went into the back of the leg space (so the back wall was hidden) could easily be fashioned as the end-piece. This is where I've positioned it in the photos (might need trimming). I never did take any photos of it in-situ, so I've trimmed a picture where it appeared in the corner of the shot, to give some idea of how it looked. I've marked it all up for easy re-assembly (end-piece excepting), and all the screws are included. It has the self closing drawer rails which feel so nice. Size: 101 cm long 48 cm deep and 78 cm high. Could possibly deliver locally, but would like it viewed first, so I don't turn up and have to bring it back. David Edwards Hassocks BN6 8DF

Gate Hinges (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
Purchased to hang a back gate, but belatedly found I needed cranked arms, not straight ones, so these are now taking up space. They are heavy duty items, so if you are thinking of building a barn in your back garden, or hanging a five-barred gate, they should fit the bill. Or something smaller if you are into complete overkill like me. David Edwards Hassocks BN6 8DF

Wooden Tea Chest. It came to me with some old gardening tools in it, and has been stored since. 60 cm h x 50 cm w x 40 cm deep. Obviously the top has been cut away to get the tea out, but otherwise pretty good condition. Not sure what it could be used for, but it is quite strong. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

Audio-visual stand. (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
Professional quality audio-visual stand. Make is UNICOL who make corporate level stands and such things. Their site has similar units for around £400+, so I'm keen to find it a home. Had light use in a church over the years, so it is in good condition. The children's group folded, and no one else needed it, so it is up for the taking. TV and DVD player included if wanted, or the stand alone. If anyone wants a small TV and or DVD player separately, then they can go as well. Otherwise - the dump! 105 cm high to the TV support shelf. Legs are widest part at 90 cm wide and 70 cm front to back. David Edwards BN6 8DF

Lawn Edge Side Cutters (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
These are heavy duty, very good quality side-cutters and if ever I was tempted to trim the edge of my lawn these would be the ones I would use. Very thick steel which won't bend or twist. The previous owner was an engineer who bought quality for long term use. These are way too good for the dump. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

Armchair (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
A comfortable reading chair. I've no idea how old this armchair is, but it has been re-upholstered several time in its life and there is absolutely no fire-safety certificate anywhere on it. The last re-upholster was in the nineties, so the fabric and foam may well be fire-retardant (or is it resistant), but no guarantees. The arms are a bit loose, but overall it is solid, and very heavy. And a bit grubby. Why this colour was chosen I've no idea, but the fabric is very wear resistant. The fabric is pulling away slightly at the rear of the right arm. This arm has been screwed back into place after it became very loose a couple of years ago. Nothing much else to say apart from it having spent its life in a non-smoking environment, but not always pet free (we recently gained a dog, but it doesn't go on the furniture). There have been cats around it in the past, but not for 10 years at least. It will go in a reasonable sized car if a hatch or estate, but not a saloon. Might be able to deliver, if not too far. However, that isn't an offer to bring it over for a check-out. If you want to see it first, come and have a look here. I could always drive you back with the chair. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

Office Quality Hole Punch (Hassocks BN6)

Seemed like a good idea at the time, when we used paper, and I had a lot of holes to punch, but has it hardly really been used, and not at all for about 5 years. If anybody still has a use for this beast, then you are welcome to it. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

Three Unusual Tools (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
Various origins for these three, but the common denominator is that I don't know what to do with them. So, if any one wants one or more, then you are welcome. 1. The chisel type tool is curved and, by design, has no edge. It might be for pushing things on a wood lathe perhaps or just in a workshop, but I've no idea. 2. The stripy tool, my wife assures me, is a boot lace puller, presumably from early to mid last century. The strips are Aluminium, Brass and what looks like Bakelite, if that helps date it. 3. The remaining one was used by my wife's father to make rugs in the 1970s. Not professionally, but as a kit that you could buy. The tool was used to pull the threads through. Locker Type Door Locks (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
Just the sort of thing you find on the lockers at work, or the gym. I must have got them to repair a locker and not used them, as they have been sitting around in the garage for literally decades (I'm very old). Complete with keys, as pictured. I wouldn't rely on this type of lock for anything too valuable, but they could save a damaged locker from the dump. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

About 20 mtrs long, but I haven't checked that. I used it to bypass the network, for various trouble-shooting operations, and plugged the PCs straight into the router. Garage attic find. Not sure if it has ever been used. I haven't had a diesel vehicle for 30 years, although it may be from that time. I sniffed inside, but couldn't decide what it smelled of anything or not. Anyway, a rinse out would sort it, I'm sure. David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)

Chest of Drawers (Hassocks BN6)
Gifted
Looks like '30s or '40s styling to me, but I'm no expert. Given to us by a relative back in the mists of time. Good condition for the age, and really solid, but obviously with the marks of time on the surfaces. The middle drawer droops a bit at the rear, and the whole thing could do with a bit of TLC to keep it useful. Two mismatched handles, although they are better quality than the originals. 101cm wide 46cm deep 83cm high. Might be able to deliver if not to far (and if it will go in the car).
