Offer: Two-quart stainless/plastic thermos (UWS) - This is a heavy-duty (over four pounds), basically indestructible thermos, been laying around for years but still works(!) The pic swiped from elsewhere online shows a small dent; this one has a smaller dent and a small ring of rust just above the bottom shiny part, and a few places near the top where the paint has flaked off. Scrape them off w/ steel wool, or hide with duct tape, your call. Nothing breakable about it—dentable, not breakable.

Offer: World map jigsaw puzzle UWS - This is a 650-piece puzzle measuring 32” x 21”. It’s a world map all right, but showing the ‘controversial’ Peters Projection, which enlarges the southern hemisphere and squishes the northern one. Peters is said to have considered the traditional projections ‘Euro-centric,’ thus his view of the world. Never put together. Actually, never even opened until now, so the descriptive paperwork and all pieces are still inside. 'A different way of looking at the globe, challenging mapmakers’ assumptions,’ it sez here. A present for that cousin in Sao Paulo? Harry Joseph 94/Columbuis There are 10 kinds of people, those who read binary and those who don't. Offer: Classroom supplies, primary(?) grades--UWS - Items you may want if you’re a teacher, or even if you’re not: > About 20 ball-point pens, many w/ corporate logos; > Mebbe a dozen rulers, mostly 12-inch, but some 6-inchers, too. Some are wood, quite old; > Four slightly-used watercolor sets, including brushes; > One long scissors; > About 15 Acco two-hole metal fasteners, the kind used to bind any number of punched pages; > A ream of blue 8-1/2 x 11 paper; > Two ream-size boxes of ‘2-page carbon books.’ To explain: These are not books. They date from the typewriter, stop-the-presses age; each ‘book’ is a super-thin sheet of single-use carbon paper, attached at one end to a super-thin sheet of white paper. Even if your typewriter is long gone there may be art-project potential here carbon-paper-wise. > Other misc. desk-drawer odds and ends—tiny pencil-sharpener, two letter-openers, small screwdriver, etc. Pls take everything except the ‘books,’ which I’ll understand if you don’t want. Offered without a hard-drive, and with two burst capacitors on the logic board. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln…. That said, I was able to nurse it along enough to go into target mode and dump the drive, so a lot more works than doesn’t; for the mavens the burst caps seem to affect video sync and not logic... The capacitors are readily available and easily replaced if you have the proper tools and know your way around electronics (and enjoy brain surgery, according to iFixit), but even if you get the thing up and running, it still maxes out at OS10.5.8, so not that useful in 2018. But it’s full of little thingees that unplug and might be useful elsewhere; if you’ve read this far you know what I mean. And of course, if you still use one of these this one is in great shape cosmetically, so spare parts galore! Or, it’ll look great onstage, in an office setting ca. 2005; think theatrical prop.
