Free: Black-cat pin, enamel on metal, new (Cleveland Park) Promised Any interest? 1.25" diameter, could attach (via two prongs) to sweater, lapel, backpack, whatever. I'm guessing enamel on gold-tone metal. Obviously I'm regifting this...it’s cute but not my style. Pick up in Cleveland Park, near Zoo. Near two Metros and with easy short-term parking (driveway). Free: Velvet ribbon, 3/8" w x 10+ yards (Cleveland Park) Expired Velvet ribbon. 3/8” wide x 10 yards. Color brown. Product link at . (Note, however, that the color is brown, not “nude” as in the Amazon photo.) It’s surplus…I needed just one spool but had to buy two. (In fact I didn’t even need one full spool, so if you’d like the leftover, an extra 6-7 yards or so, great.) In-person pickup in front of apartment building on Connecticut Ave. near Zoo. Free: Wood jewelry box (Cleveland Park) Gifted Jewelry box. Circa mid-1990s. Unknown wood, possibly burl with yellow maple or golden cherry around edge? Classic design. Suitable for men or women. Outer dimensions 12” x 7” x 3”. Green velvet lining. (Slightly worn through in one small patch but not visible.) Removable upper tray with multiple compartments including ring storage. Single large lower compartment. Mirrored lid (useless in my opinion, but whatever.) Good condition. Does not lock. Brand is “Mele, made in Taiwan.” This seems to be a mid-market manufacturer, still in business, Canada-based but now manufacturing in China. In-person pickup near Zoo. I live in an apartment building so porch pickup is NOT an option. Near Cleveland Park and Woodley Park metros, or pull into my building’s driveway for quick swap (no worries about parking). Free: Black percale standard pillow shams (Cleveland Park) Gifted Set of two black, standard (not king or “European”) percale bed-pillow shams from CB2. “Organic cotton,” if that matters to you. Product page is at , and so is photo. I got these a few months ago for a dramatic, tailored look and they’re fine. But it turns out I prefer crisp white pillowcases and shams. That’s psychological, not aesthetic. From a nonsmoking home (with a cat, but these are clean and pressed). Free to a good home, maybe yours? Free: Black twill weekender bag (Cleveland Park) Gifted Nice-sized “weekender” bag in black twill with waterproof nylon (?) interior. Brand is Ricardo of Beverly Hills. Total size of compartment (excluding handles) is 16” long x 12” high x 8” deep. There are one full-length full-height outer zip pocket, and (on other side) two smaller (full-length but shallower) zip pockets—they’re especially handy for carrying tickets, phone, ID, other items you need to keep safe but accessible. Zipper for the large compartment is compatible with a small TSA lock (not included). There is a canvas loop for slipping over the handle of a rolling suitcase. There are carrying handles, and a detachable shoulder strap. Clean and in good condition. All zippers work fine. This appears similar but not identical to the newer version at . (Mine is black, not navy, and has no detachable zip pouch.) Flexible in-person pickup at apartment building on Connecticut Ave., near Zoo and Metro. No porch pickup. Free: Pillow protector, new (Cleveland Park) Gifted One microfiber pillow protector, new in package. For standard/queen bed pillow. Target “Room Essentials” (). I needed one but they came in 2-packs. In case you’re unfamiliar: a pillow protector is a zipped cover that goes over the pillow and under the outer pillow-case or sham, to protect the pillow and minimize dust mites and allergens. Free: Faux-leather mini-crossbody/clutch (Cleveland Park) Gifted From Amazon: “Triple Zip Small Crossbody Bag Lightweight Purse Vegan Leather Wristlet Clutch, Includes Adjustable Shoulder Strap.” See for dimensions and details. Color is “waxed beige,” very neutral. Another name for “vegan leather” is, of course, “plastic.” Still, this is a well-designed and flexible mini-crossbody or clutch. Certainly ample for phone, keys, credit cards, spare mask, and a few cosmetics. I never actually carried it so it's brand-new though not in original packaging.
