Request: electric sewing machine (Berkeley) - My sewing machine broke. If you have a working sewing machine that's gathering dust and can spare it, I'd appreciate it. Can travel as far north as Richmond or as far south as Alameda, as well as to some parts east of the hills. Free: futon cover, good condition (Berkeley) Gifted - Unused futon cover. Size is ~78x~80 which I think is for a full-size futon mattress. Color is a nice champagne-ish color. One side has decoration, stripe with Asian characters. Pix available. I think the fabric is cotton. From house that had no smoking, no pets and used unscented laundry detergent, so should be fine for anyone chemically sensitive. Free: Gnat Stix for fungus gnats / aphids (Berkeley) - If you have fungus gnats or aphids (this is for indoors, such as on a houseplant), this is a stick with an adhesive pad that you put in the soil and the bugs stick to it and you can then toss it. One is one large tile (12"x~37") that looks like (and perhaps might be) dark green (Florentine?) marble. If someone is creating a nook or inset in a bathtub area, this would be useful for that. The other is a bag of small pieces from when our floor tiling was cut to size, probably useful only to mosaicists. Free: Verilux Happy Light box for S.A.D (Berkeley) Gifted - This is an LED light box that people prone to Seasonal Affect Disorder sometimes use; research shows it also has benefits for depression even if not the S.A.D. variety. For what it is, it's nicely designed. Personally, I could never tell if it made a difference, and in any case I tend not to be affected by S.A.D. anyore so I don't need it anymore.
