The idea is to put snacks inside through the big hole, rotate it to the small and give it to a cat. When he realises the toy gives him food, he should be encouraged to play more. Worked for my little kitty, but we no longer use it.

It was bigger, but I had to make it smaller to suit my room. Because of that I unfortunately can't remove the screw from the cat bed, so either you can cut it or just use another end, as in the last photo. My cat got bored of it and no longer scratches it, so I'm going to look for something else
