Request: Short length of scaffold pole (Highbury N5) Withdrawn 10d - I need approximately 100mm of standard 48.3mm steel scaffold pole; I'm happy to take any length that can be reasonably carried though. ( Also, I'm looking for 42mm OD steel tube, 6.7mm steel plate! - basically anything chunky that can be machined or welded.)

Request: Old type of electric kettle lead (Highbury N5) 19d - Hello, I'm looking for a power lead for a 1960s Russel Hobbs K2 kettle which has been kindly given to me by a neighbour. Perhaps you have one in a drawer somewhere or the attic. They can be rewired so if yours has a damaged cable I could fix it. The end that goes into the kettle is 33mm in diameter and the power pins are 18mm apart. Apparently no-one makes them anymore - but if you know otherwise please let me know!

Request: Metal sieve (Highbury N5) Withdrawn 57d - Before I spend a whole quid on buying one (shudder)...has anyone out there got a one they don't want? I'll be using it for sieving fibres for model-making so it doesn't need to be food-safe. Ideally metal so that it can be statically charged to make grass flocking.......but plastic would be fine too. I can pick up whenever suits you as I am now a man of leisure. Ta very much!

Request: Rotary pencil sharpener (Highbury N5) Withdrawn 70d - I do a lot of doodling and am forever needing to sharpen my pencils. The little sharpeners always seem to break the leads as do penknives. I've been told the old-fashioned type with the crank handle are much better. With that in mind, has anyone got one they don't need anymore? It doesn't have to have the fixing clamp - easy enough to make, and I could probably fix a problematic one. I'm very flexible with pick-up times and days and would be eternally grateful.

Free: Playmobil Helicopter 'City Action' (Highbury N5) Gifted 103d - Set #5563 You may have seen this on Trash Nothing earlier. It was listed as needing repair as the pin that holds the rotor blades on was missing. I've made a new one out of steel and lightly glued it in with non-toxic glue. The blades spin freely now (with a little wind power!): Be aware that it's missing a few parts: the pilot's visor and the lamp that is slung under the fuselage, so not ideal for collectors. It comes with the assembly leaflet thingy which has the numbers of the parts so you could buy the missing stuff from ebay. Also, despite the photo it does not fly, yet. Pick up from Highbury Fields area. I'm in most weekdays and evenings, but away at weekends. Please be polite, punctual and communicative. Don't say you want it & then ghost me.

Request: A garden compost bin in Highbury (Highbury N5) Expired 106d - I've been piling up kitchen waste and shredded newspapers and grass cuttings in a foetid heap in the garden under a tarp and nothing is happening! I'd like to try a proper compost bin, I'm in Highbury but I don't have anything other than 2-wheeled transport so it needs to be local. Many thanks! Request: A small amount of gloss black paint (Highbury N5) Expired 121d - I'm fixing up an old Dutch (actually Finnish) bicycle, I need enough gloss black to paint one mudguard. It can be absolutely anything so long as it's shiny and black! Many thanks! Free: Motorcycle fairing screen (Highbury N5) Expired 122d - Yet another thing from the back of the shed. I put it on my BMW and it worked well but I missed the wind blast so here it is. As you can see it comes with some brackets but you'd need to fabricate or buy some more to secure it fully. The round cut-out is 210mm in diameter. The space between the lower brackets' mounting holes is 205mm. Total height is about 400mm, width 385mm. Thickness of plastic is just over 4mm - sturdy. It has a few marks but nothing really major. One of the black metal discs on the front is rusting under the paint. Fixing bolts appear to be stainless. Not cheap to buy new and they do quite well on eBay if you wanted to sell it on. Pick up is in N5 1UP - Highbury Terrace. I'm at home most weekdays but I like a lie-in so have rarely surfaced before 10am. Please consider carefully if you want it or not before asking for it. I expect prompt, polite and communicative messages.

Free: Bicycle rear rack (Islington N5) Expired 122d - Surplus to requirements, aluminium so light and rust-free (apart from adjustment nuts and bolts.) Needs a dust/wipe over as has been in a shed. See photos for dimensions, as you can see there are slots to facilitate fitment. Pick up from N5 1UP, weekdays only. In your FIRST message tell me when you can pick up from Highbury Fields/Highbury Terrace area. Failure to pick up on time will result in it going into the recycling bin.

Request: A 26" bicycle inner tube (1 3/8") (Islington N5) Expired 197d - My bicycle's inner tube valve has ripped out through old age. I have a puncture repair kit but it can't re-attach the valve! Has anyone got one lying around somewhere? It doesn't matter if it's got a leak as I can repair it. Thanks! Request: A piece of tube or pipe 75mm OD (Islington N5) Expired 236d - I have rescued a leaf blower from a skip and fixed it up. All it needs is a tube to direct the air. Ideally, a piece of PVC drainpipe or even a cardboard tube - it needs to have an outside diameter of 75mm - (3" ish). Length anything 50cm / 2ft or longer. Alternatively if you know of a skip where guttering and drainpipes are being disposed of I'd love to know where. Thanks very much. It'd be great if there were push-on connectors too but not essential. I've been kindly given a Karcher pressure washer that needs attention and the first thing I need to do is get water into it. Request: Camping Kettle (Islington N5) Received 1y - I'm hoping someone has a small kettle that will sit on my marvelous, newly received propane-powered camping stove Ideally it will hold about a litre and be fewer than 18cm / 7 1/2" in diameter. Any age or condition is fine so long as it holds water. Thanks for reading this far! Free: Ventura Duratrail bicycle (Islington N5) Gifted 1y - Cosmetically appalling but it rides and stops. Lock not included. 23" frame so good for lanky people! Locking nut on steering stem is stripped but doesn't affect anything. Tyres go soft after a while so probably need new tubes. Gear selectors don't have positive click so you need a modicum of nous to change gears. Having said all that it can be ridden away - I'll pump up the tyres. Bike is about 30 years old and belonged to my best mate so I'd like it to go to a good home. When it comes to picking up, please don't mess me about. If you say you're coming then come, if you fail to arrive I'll offer it to someone else. I'm in during the week, not weekends. Bike is located in Highbury Terrace N5 1UP.
