Free: Tailgate struts (Merchiston EH10) Hyundai i10 tailgate struts. Two used struts that were replaced because they didn’t fully extend and kept banging head. 16 years old. However, still working if manual extended to full height. No idea why someone would want them but thought I’d try before taking to dump.

Free: Roofing felt (Merchiston EH10) Gifted A piece Wickes green IKO Trade Roofing Felt Topsheet which is a heavyweight bituminous roofing felt which is ideal for use as the cap sheet to a multi-layer system on garden buildings or a single layer on shed roofs (non-habitable buildings) and comes with a 10 year life expectancy. Left over from refelting my tool shed. 2.5 m by 60 cm.

Free: Roofing felt adhesive (Merchiston EH10) Gifted Wickes roofing felt adhesive is a cold-applied bitumen adhesive for bonding and sealing roofing felts. About a half to two thirds of a 2.5 L tin. Opened about 3 months ago.

Free: Cromer Aluminium Solar Reflective paint (Merchiston EH10) Gifted A bit less than a quarter of a 1 L can. Solar reflective paint to protect bitumen roofing from sun damage. Can’t imagine why anyone would want so little but I suppose one could use it on bare patches of a previously paint roof. The can was opened today.

Free: Gap filler and adhesive (Merchiston EH10) Gifted Everflex Weathermate gap filler and adhesive. Forms a permantly flexible watertight bond for roofing especially bitumen. Can be applied on wet surfaces and even underwater. About two thirds of tube left. Recently opened about two weeks ago.

Free: Bitumen primer (Merchiston EH10) Gifted About a quarter of 2.5 L can of Cromer Bitumen Primer. Recently used. Description & Uses Bitumen Primer is a low viscosity, high penetration, cold applied bituminous solution designed to prime and seal porous roof surfaces prior to the application of bituminous materials. It seals porous substrates and promotes the adhesion of bituminous waterproofing systems and sheet coverings. May be applied to a range of surfaces: • Concrete • Asbestos cement • Metals – mild steel, zinc & lead • Slate, lightweight concrete screeds Coverage Rates The coverage per litre is dependent upon the porosity of the surface: • Metal surfaces: 6-12m2 per litre • Concrete: 6-8m2 per litre • Lightweight concrete screeds and asbestos cement: 3.5-5m2 per litre. Method of Application Bitumen Primer should be applied by brush ensuring an even coat with no pooling, or applied evenly by airless spray.
