Request: backpacks/ bookbags etc (Downers Grove) Expired Hi there! Thanks for reading this post.. The request for backpacks/ bookbags is a crucial one for our homeless people in Chicagoland. Its with disgust and sadness to say how often they get robbed. The items we collect will be distributed to a few ministry's I volunteer with in Chicago's North Lawndale YMEN & MBK Absolutely,kind,loving homeless people in need of backpacks which go over their shoulders. Lock on it an added plus. We appreciate and are grateful for any non perishable foods,toiletries, new socks,new underwear, baseball caps,hats, sunglasses, gym shoes etc. feel free to reach out with any questions. Preferably no logos or sayings of any type. Were in need of clean items ,new socks, new underwear, jackets,sunglasses,hats,fleece blankets,toiletries,feminine hygiene items,non perishable foods etc for our homeless people.
