30 six-egg paper cartons (E8) Six-compartment egg cartons, in good condition; 30 in all, of which 1 white, 1 blue, and 29 beige. Their many uses include: ● Great for sorting / organising jewelry or other small bits and bobs. ● Plantable trays for seed-starting. I like to rest them in a tray, then water the tray, to keep them moist. ● Popular crafting supplies. ● Holding eggs! Especially if you have a chicken, but also handy for divvying up those 24-egg flats into manageable lots.

Plastic tubs for cacti, seedlings, paint, etc. (E8) All clean, no lids. ● Clear plastic tubs — 7 small (200 ml) and 9 medium (400 ml?) — that would make attractive windowsill plant pots once labels are removed. ● Miscellaneous yogurt and other tubs, large and small, for potting on, painting, crafts.

8 sauce and salad dressing bottles (E8) Great if you're making your own salad dressing, or flavoured oils and vinegars! Eight clean bottles, clear glass, with lids. 4 from salad dressings, 2 from sweet chilli sauce, 1 from hoisin sauce, 1 from soy sauce.

8 glass jars with lids (E8) Gifted Clean, dry, about 160 ml to 500 ml. Labels not removed. Great for spice or other small storage.

Olive oil bottles (E8) Gifted Six 500 ml square bottles, of which 5 green glass and 1 clear (rapeseed oil) Two 250 ml square bottles, green glass. All have lids. Drained and rinsed (a hint of oil may remain). Outsides clean.

Large shredder, jammed (E8) Gifted Office-sized (knee-high) paper shredder. Silver-tone shredder section on top; just lift it off to empty the black shredded-paper bin below. Sadly, even the higher-powered versions can jam if over-fed. :-( This might still work if unjammed, we don't know.

Double mattress, firm (E8) Gifted Unique Beds, Quality Hand Made Beds, "the mattress people sleep on", orthopaedic mattress, made in the UK, says the label. Cream to pale gold brocade, with felt reinforcement where top and bottom are tufted. A gold vent at each side. Double-sized innerspring mattress, firm, in excellent condition. It's on our ground floor, just inside the front door.

Avocado pits for dye or flour (E8) Gifted All sizes, mostly dry. I haven't the time or equipment to rub off the membrane and grind these for flour, or to use them for dyeing fabric. Maybe you do?

Blackberry plants, outside now (E8) Gifted Blackberry plants, very small to medium size, free to whoever wants them. It's a spreader, so good for an allotment, or otherwise, a big pot to keep it contained. (Oops.) Nice berries, but you'll probably have to wait until next year. They're mostly in bundles with a little soil around the roots. On top of the red wall in front of 12 Stannard Road, CB4 2HP. First come, first served. Take one, take all.
