Standard kitchen under cabinet stainless dishwasher, replaced rather than attempt repair as I figured I'd break something else attempting repair and ultimately be offering a dishwasher that no longer works, wasting time and money on repair, and then replacing anyway. Best I can tell from online DIY troubleshooting, sounded like water pump consistent with noise and when it would occur. Dishwasher still works, although online indicated noise is indicative of pending failure (possible blade on pump). Removed carefully, but it is what it is.
