Request: Pine plank... Antique? (Bradford on Avon BA15) To repair old dresser, inherited. Needs a piece to fit in or over gap in top of lower cabinet Gap is. : 1inch thick x 44 inch long x 10 inch deep All planks considered, preferably without paint on! The Older the wood, the more wormholed - all the better! Or a Larger piece for whole top would be nice instead... Eg, top of another table, etc. in pine.... Or light colour .... Other material...? BUT STILL USABLE! We just put cold packs, etc. in front of shelf where drawers fronts are missing, to stop cold air loss when door is opened! It's heavy to lift, so please arrange for 2 strong people to remove. We live in a basement. We can lend a sack trolley this end for steps, but will need a friend to help lift up to street level. - superficial scratches only. Pine bookcase or storage shelving for anything! - probably 10 years old - adjustable shelf heights - BIT DAMAGED FIXINGS, BUT OK - Small metal pins in pre-drilled holes on uprights are used to hold and adjust shelf positions on uprights, - I found it tricky and used a mallet (soft hammer) to get them in place. Painted cream in the 60's - Not in tune... for many years! - Not Playable without a lot of expensive work to the mechanics... - My parents found it too expensive, so stopped getting it tuned more than 10 years ago - Great as a display feature - for ceramics etc. Charming as a living room shelf for ornaments... looked nice in their living room for last years...
