This is the last repair cafe of 2024, no meet in December.
The Repair Cafe Nunhead is the place to bring broken belongings in need of mending!
We are located at The Green Community Centre, Nunhead Green (opposite The Old Nuns Head).
Our team of volunteer fixers will share their specialist skills and tools to help you restore items brought from home. Enjoy a refreshment of coffee or tea while you learn basic repair skills and save your stuff from landfill.
Our expert fixers are experienced in mending house hold electrical goods, computers, textiles including clothes and toys, woodworking and much more! You are welcome to bring anything that you can carry on your own from home and we try and save it from landfill.
Advice and help from The Repair Cafe is free to all! A voluntary donation from visitors to the Repair Cafe is appreciated which will support The Green and help cover material costs for mends.
We aim to create a collaborative space for visitors and volunteers. Visitors are encouraged to remain with the repairer and witness what is being done/ learn and pick up skills and try the mend for themselves if applicable.
We operate a first come, first served system and how quickly you are seen depends on volunteer availability. Please be prepared to queue, we can only accept one item per person/family/group please!
