Repair Café: The Hub Community Centre
Saturday, 30 November 2024
11:00 – 14:00
11:00 – 14:00
Cambourne’s 7th Repair Cafe will occur on Saturday, November 30th between 11am and 2pm.
Location: The Hub Community Centre (Main Hall), High Street, Cambourne, CB23 6GW.
Booking: book an item for repair via [this link](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfryqF4sH1b2HfO1i_jx1Ad2hdIpyQMtVM...).
This is a free event (donations are welcome on the day) run by volunteers. If you decide to book please save the date and be sure to attend on the day.
We welcome the following items for repair:
* Electrical and mechanical items such as clocks, toasters, blenders, kettles, lamps, CD players, coffee machines, headphones
* Sewing machines (will depend if relevant repairer is free to attend - booking will be confirmed by organisers)
* Textiles/clothing for sewing repair
* Bicycles
* Broken items such as pottery or picture frames that can be glued (need to be in a repairable state so not in smithereens)
There may be some items that we cannot accept due to the nature of the fault. If this is the case then organisers will confirm based on details provided on the booking form.
We cannot accept large appliances, microwaves, printers, televisions, computer equipment, tablets, gaming equipment and mobile phones.
You can turn up on the day, but bookings will take priority and you may have to wait. We politely request only one item per person, but if we have time and you can wait as necessary then it may be possible to have a second item seen by a repairer.
Refreshments in the form of hot/cold drinks and biscuits will be available on the day.
The Hub has a large car park and cycle racks. Blue badge parking spaces are available and the building has accessible entry for wheelchair/mobility scooter users. The Cambridge Citi 4 bus service stops just outside the Hub.
This event is insured by Wessex Insurance in line with the Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network insurance recommendations.
