I have just dug this up today. Valerian is classified as a herb and grows 1.5 metres. It comes up every year. It does seed but I cut off the heads before they go to seed. I cut it to the ground after flowering. It is a useful plant and has pretty white flowers.
There are 3 mini Valarians in this pot, you can either split into 3 pots or plant as they are.
