We have a tree with far too many ripe quince for us to use ourselves. So the deal is that you come and pick some for yourself. Especially good if you have a tall stepladder: we have an ordinary one, but the best quince always seem to grow at the top of the tree!
These are the large, pear-like quince. Good for baking, making jelly, etc. If you make quince jelly and give us some, we would be very pleased indeed (our cooker packed up during the pandemic, and the only one we could find does not get the big jam pan hot enough). They do not keep well (not like apples), hence our generosity.
