European sleepworks king mattress with memory foam top layer in good condition, used by one, small/light person.
Pair of two, twin-size, adjustable, bent-wood slat foundations from Berkeley Ergonomics (together they make one King)
High-denier mattress bag
High-quality pillow-top mattress pad
Home-made bedframe (NOT the one pictured, that's a stock image)
Rose/Beige bed-skirt (hides homemade frame quite nicely)
Fresh and clean-smelling, from a no-pet, no-bedbug, zero allergen home. Bedframe is quite sturdy but would benefit from the use of some construction adhesive in the joints when re-assembling to silence the squeaks, if bedframe squeaking might be a problem, nudge nudge.
The picture is NOT the bed I have to give, and the homemade frame is made from lumber and plywood scraps, and has no headboard. It does come with a bedskirt that hides it quite nicely, and the bed is plenty heavy to stay put, so a wall can serve as a headboard (as it has for us for years).
The foundation aka box-spring looks just like the one pictured, except it's two pieces, each of which has its own quilted frame; they are two separate/individual twin-size units.
The mattress is both much heavier and far more floppy than your typical mattress. Can be lashed into a U-shape for transport on a car roof-rack, with some lumber running lengthwise to prevent it sagging onto the windshield. So a truck is not required, but it's way too big to fit inside an SUV or most vans. The bedframe is now disassembled into four parts, which can serve as the lumber cited a couple of sentences ago. Screws back together in a jiffy with a cordless drill/driver.
