Twin Bed & Matching Curttains (El Sobrante)
Comes with European Sleepworks mattress. Cost $600 when we got it, and it still does today, I just checked their website. Very nice mattress, in very good condition. Child who used the bed was very small/light until the last couple of years, even then not much over 100lbs. Absolutely no fleas, bedbugs, lice, pets or smoking in the household. Not used for the past 4 years. Includes matching curtains for a 4' to 6' window. Will deliver in El Sobrante or Pinole.

European Sleepworks King Bed (El Sobrante)
Gifted
European sleepworks king mattress with memory foam top layer in good condition, used by one, small/light person. Pair of two, twin-size, adjustable, bent-wood slat foundations from Berkeley Ergonomics (together they make one King) High-denier mattress bag High-quality pillow-top mattress pad Home-made bedframe (NOT the one pictured, that's a stock image) Rose/Beige bed-skirt (hides homemade frame quite nicely) Fresh and clean-smelling, from a no-pet, no-bedbug, zero allergen home. Bedframe is quite sturdy but would benefit from the use of some construction adhesive in the joints when re-assembling to silence the squeaks, if bedframe squeaking might be a problem, nudge nudge. The picture is NOT the bed I have to give, and the homemade frame is made from lumber and plywood scraps, and has no headboard. It does come with a bedskirt that hides it quite nicely, and the bed is plenty heavy to stay put, so a wall can serve as a headboard (as it has for us for years). The foundation aka box-spring looks just like the one pictured, except it's two pieces, each of which has its own quilted frame; they are two separate/individual twin-size units. The mattress is both much heavier and far more floppy than your typical mattress. Can be lashed into a U-shape for transport on a car roof-rack, with some lumber running lengthwise to prevent it sagging onto the windshield. So a truck is not required, but it's way too big to fit inside an SUV or most vans. The bedframe is now disassembled into four parts, which can serve as the lumber cited a couple of sentences ago. Screws back together in a jiffy with a cordless drill/driver.

Cabinets for Garage or Workshop (El Sobrante)
Gifted
These are salvageable, but in moderately rough shape and require some work, for sure. I'm happy to provide details/specifics to anyone interested to ask. Will deliver some locally but only if you come see them first, so you know what you're getting into. They're headed for the dump in early October, so if you're interested, please let me know soon. The first pic shows the base units. They are 29" tall, 18" wide and 24" deep. There are door frames and panels for all of them, and 9 shelves that fit inside. The second pic shows upper units. They are 42" tall, 24" wide and 12" deep. I have 10 shelves that fit inside. The third pic shows doors for the upper units. The fourth pic shows the shelves, upper unit shelves on the left, lower on the right of pic. The fifth pic shows the shelf support pins.

Tric-Trac Wooden Dice Game (El Sobrante)
Expired
Tric-Trac is a drinking game, simply put. It involves nothing but luck, really, and streaks of luck. Unlike say, Yahtzee, it involves no real thinking and isn’t in any way educational or skill-building. It is however, a lot of fun in a group setting with four or five or preferably more people playing and all of them in, shall we say, a jovial frame of mind. That's not to say of course that it wouldn’t be a lot of fun for groups of young people. kids get a very jovial state of mind when in groups playing games, without the help of any inebriants. As anyone with kids knows that frame of mind can also become deadly serious, too, with tears galore but hey, that's life innit? I think among two or even three siblings, though, this game would prove dull and be relegated to collect dust as it likely has for the 50 or 60 years since this particular kit was fabricated from tropical hardwoods as it is. It’s really quite lovely and a relic of a bygone era in that regard. However since nowadays, large groups of kids only seem to coalesce once or twice a year at a birthday parties, this game might find most still be best at home to adults with a social life that includes regular gatherings of people who need something to do to avoid talking about how s***** the world is these days. Lucky people will have the most fun.

5 gal of veg. emergency food (El Sobrante)
Gifted
Bought this in March of 2013, just opened this 5-gal bucket full today. Label says says 20 year shelf life and I'm sure for most folks it would be better than starving in an emergency. But they all contain egg, and one of our family members has developed a severe egg allergy in the years since we bought the batch. Vegetarian; contains egg and dairy.

Two Bit Braces (El Sobrante)

The original cordless drill. These look to be 1950s or '60s vintage, downright newfangled as far as bit braces go. I've had them for decades now and never used them, time to pass them on to someone who might.

Inuit Ulu Knife & Sheath (El Sobrante)
Gifted
A bit rusty from age, still real sharp though. Bought in Nome or a nearby village in the '90s. I'd like this to go to someone who will value it, or perhaps give it as a gift to someone who will, rather than someone who wants to sell it. Not that it's really worth very much.

5' x 8' Soft Woven Rug (El Sobrante)
Gifted
From a house with cats, but low on odor AFAICT. Made from a synthetic fiber, type unknown*. Has many matted surface pills that can be easily removed with a hair trimmer, I got good results on a 1' square in only a couple of minutes (see picture). I think once that's done, it will have a new lease on life once washed. It's much too heavy dry, let alone wet to wash in a machine. I get great results washing rugs on my sloping concrete driveway on hot days, using a pole brush, dish detergent and the garden hose attachment show in the last picture (it emulates a power-washer wand pretty well). If you don't have access to such a sloped driveway or wand, you're welcome to use mine, just pick up the rug on a day that's hot and sunny here in El Sobrante. Also plan on transporting a very heavy wet rug home. If a roof rack or pickup truck's not an option, I suggest rolling it up in clear poly film. Or wear a bathing suit, LOL. *IDK what fiber, the label is missing. I just got this yesterday from a well-intentioned fellow trashnothing member who believed it was natural fiber and it does in fact look a lot like one. However, when plucked, loose fibers were super fine, clear and glassy, and when exposed to flame, they melted quickly into a black blob, which cooled to a hard lump. My guess is either olefin, or some sort of polyethylene or polyamide, for you fiber chemistry fans.

Set of Long Fiberglass Tent Wands (El Sobrante)
Gifted
AKA poles, these flex unlike a rigid pole but call them what you will, they long outlived the tent, which the sun's ultraviolet rays reduced to something like tissue paper in the course of a year or so. Before these take their dreary trip to the landfill I thought I'd offer them here, in case they strike anyone's fancy for an art, craft, builder or otherwise DIY project. They are long, 10'+ (once fitted together by their ferrules) and there are six in total, IIRC.

Plush Comfy Clean Hideabed Couch (El Sobrante)
Expired
This single-owner couch from nonsmoking home with not cats, dogs or horses, just rabbits (more on that below). Hideabed mattress is more comfortable than most, but still probably saw fewer than 20 nights' use over the years. Wear and tear includes sun-fading on the back (see pic) and some damage to the upholstery (a couple of pet rabbits had their way with it one spring before I built them a house of their own). I repaired it with a velour that I think is a pretty decent match, see pics for details. The couch is still comfortable to sit on and fairly attractive, the evening sun in these pictures doesn't exaggerate that too much but the harsh shadows do exaggerate the flaws; it's still fairly attractive indoors, lamp lit. 96" long x 40" deep x 30" tall I will deliver within 20 miles or so. Kind of a beloved member of the family at this point, just can't see it go into the landfill when it could serve a few more years, at least. Search terms: sofa bed sofa-bed sleeper divan fold-out
