Homemade Philips Speakers (Barrhaven (Walter Baker Area))

For the hobbyist.

These stand about 30" tall and have dome tweeters, dome midranges, 10" (blown) woofers, and 3-way crossovers. They are over 45 years old. They've never won any beauty contests, and age hasn't done them any kindnesses. But they were heavily built and sounded great until the rubber surrounds on the woofer rotted away (a common problem). The woofers can be reconed.

If you know anything about Philips, they made some terrific components and in the 1970s and 80s a lot of budding audiophiles were building some very, very good speakers. Maybe this is still true.

If someone wants to use just the components for a new project, that's fine, but I'll ask you to take everything away and dispose of what you don't want.
