I was given a pristine-looking UPS model "Sweex Intelligent (650 VA) - Line Interactive - model PP200"
Regrettably it does not work.
A quick superficial test showed me that the battery is faulty. It’s a sealed lead acid battery 12v 7ah (or 9ah) the type used in alarms, mobility scooters, and UPSs, and available from the usual sheds for a couple of tenners.
Since I am unable to test if anything else might be wrong, I don’t feel getting a new battery just to try it.
If anybody here knows more about this sort of things than I do and feels like giving it a try, you are welcome to have it.
